I’ve been working as the sole creative team member for NYC-based soup brand, Good Stock, since September 2019 as both freelance and a full-time team member. I was drawn to Good Stock and the founder, Ben, and his passion for soup. Did I ever think I would be so involved with soup? Not really. But has it been one of my favorite small team ventures I’ve been apart of? Absolutely I do. Read more below. All photos by Julia Robbs.
I wanted to do more food focused work and was looking for a small brand to really get down and dirty with. I have always appreciated working on a smaller team than corporate level situations. Ben’s passion for soup coupled with the want to be the best soup brand in the nation, really drew me and has made the working process feel excitable and fresh. While I’ve been working on digital, print, content, strategy, etc. with the brand, I wanted to share these beautiful images created in collaboration with friend and photographer, Julia Robbs. I’ve worked with Julia previously on a another NYC photoshoot, and the chance to work with her doing something different and fun with food was such a pleasure. The importance of the imagery is to push the fresh, real, nutritious angle of Good Stock, with a little imperfection mixed in. We keep it honest.
